Sub-Project Description

Objective: Provide families and caregivers of neurodivergent youth with knowledge, tools and peer-support to support their children’s growth, independence and inclusion.
Key components:

Monthly workshops/webinars: topics like neurodiversity 101, transition to adulthood, employment readiness, digital safety, mental health.

Support groups: facilitated monthly meetings where caregivers can share experiences, strategies, and build a support network.

Resource hub: build an online library of guides, toolkits (downloadable), local services directory.

“Family Inclusion Days”: quarterly events where families and youth come together for inclusive fun, networking, and learning.
Outcomes: Empowered caregivers, stronger support for neurodivergent youth at home, improved inclusion outcomes.

Why this fits NIYN: While youth are the core, supporting their ecosystem (families/caregivers) strengthens the impact and sustainability of NIYN’s mission.
