The Neurodivergent Institute for Youth & Neurodiverse (NIYN) is dedicated to supporting neurodivergent youth ages 13-35, including individuals with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurological differences. We create pathways to independence, employment, and meaningful community engagement.

Nicholas Ndung'u Irung'u, fondly known as "Prince Autism Kenya," is a passionate advocate and visionary leader in the neurodiversity movement in Kenya. As a neurodivergent individual himself, Nicholas understands firsthand the challenges faced by young people with autism, ADHD, and other neurological differences in Kenya.
His journey began with personal struggles navigating a society that often misunderstood neurodiversity. Through his own experiences and witnessing the lack of support systems for neurodivergent youth, Nicholas was inspired to create change. He recognized that Kenya needed specialized programs that not only provided skills training but also promoted acceptance and understanding of neurodivergent individuals.
In founding NIYN, Nicholas brought together his lived experience, advocacy passion, and deep understanding of the Kenyan context to create comprehensive programs that bridge the gap between potential and opportunity for neurodivergent youth. His vision extends beyond individual success stories to systemic change in how society perceives and supports neurodiversity.
To empower neurodivergent youth ages 13-25 by providing comprehensive programs that develop life skills, promote independence, and create pathways to meaningful employment and community integration in Kenya.
A Kenya where neurodivergent individuals are recognized, valued, and fully included in society, with equal opportunities to thrive, contribute, and live independently with dignity and respect.
